Wanna Dance? is a partnership between Cheshire Dance, Vivo Care Choices and the University of Central Lancashire.
Wanna Dance? creates dancing opportunities with people with Profound Intellectual & Multiple Disabilities (PIMD). The project asks IF participants would like to dance and if so, how that dance might be?
Wanna Dance has been developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic as a way to enable people with Profound Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities (PIMD) to take part in dance activity.
The Wanna Dance programme is based on the principles of joining, amplifying and connecting one-to-one with a partner's movement.
Cheshire Dance developed Wanna Dance in collaboration with Vivo Care Choices and Ruth Spencer from the University of Central Lancashire.

Wanna Dance involves around 20 minutes of focused one-to-one dancing with a Dance Partner with PIMD at Vivo Care Choices Centres.
Wanna Dance involves recording and reviewing session observations and experiences so that - over time - an individual movement profile can be created for each Dance Partner. More information can be found in our Resources Hub.
